Kevin J. Tankersley, PLA, LEED A.P BD+C

Kevin Tankersley joined Urban, Ltd. as Director of Landscape Architecture in 2012.  He brings over twenty-five years of design experience in real estate development focused landscape architecture, urban design and land planning work to the firm.  As a former principal at LandDesign, he has led design teams for many significant projects throughout the greater Washington DC metro area as well as regionally and internationally.   He has practical knowledge earned from numerous successful projects including streetscapes, planned communities, multifamily and single family residential communities, commercial properties, recreational open spaces and amenities and urban courtyards.

Mr. Tankersley believes that all the places where we live, work and play deserve excellent design of their exterior environments.  Good landscape architectural design should meld together the assets of a site and environmental sensitivity with the client’s vision and brand to create a place with a unique identity of its own.  Good design is especially important in today’s complex regulatory and market environments.
